Once again, we have to ask the question:
So we’re bringing them back with a great line up of speakers who will challenge you, inspire you, inform and educate you.
We are taking on a project with the Homeless Alliance right here in Oklahoma City. The Homeless Alliance caters to the homeless population, and provides a variety of services to the homeless. TBI is partnering with them to provide a meal to their clients once each month in 2018.
It’s a lofty goal. You might recall that the Jewish Federation sponsored a meal in October in which 120 of the homeless were fed.
We are preparing to feed 200. You might be asking how you can get involved. If you would like to volunteer at one of the upcoming events, contact Scott Nachatilo. Or, you could make a donation for the effort. We are paying for all of the meal items. To feed 200 will cost $800 to $900.
Here’s a little bit about the menu plan…
Your donation will be used almost 100% to buy items such as the following, which will be served at the very first meal: fresh fruit (banana or orange), drink – fruit punch, entree – Stouffers Lasagna, vegetable – green beans, Lettuce salad with dressing, and dessert (cookies and/or sliced sheet cake).
